Kanagawa Prefectural SAGAMIHARA Secondary School

School Surroundings
The school has several good points in its location. First, “Sagami-Ono Central Park” is right next to the school. It is one of the largest parks in Sagamihara city. Children and families come every day so you can hear them playing. Second, the school has convenient traffic access. Sagami-Ono station on the Odakyu Line is near the school. With the Odakyu line, you can go to Shinjuku, Hakone, and Enoshima. The national Highway #16 is also near the school. If you use it, you can go to Yokohama, Hachioji, and Chiba. The school also has a large bicycle parking area and the route to school is easy. You can see many people riding bicycles in the morning.

Strong points
The school has many strong points. We will introduce some of them. First, it is a good environment for studying. The classes are equipped with air conditioning and heating so the students can comfortably study. Second, the school has a food stand so students who didn’t bring their lunch don’t have to go to a store, and can buy lunch at school. Third, it is not an expensive school because it is a public school. But it is different because there are special lessons and also a high school section. So we can experience many things. We welcome visitors so please drop in to see our school sometime.

●Curriculum
In addition to the normal curriculum of a secondary school, we have some special programs. Our school has 5 English classes a week. One of them is the Next Generation English class, which is taught by a Japanese teacher and a native English-speaking teacher. In PE, we learn Judo for a month during the year. Even if you never tried Judo before, it is not a problem. The PE teacher will teach you everything. There are many programs at Sagamihara that is fun to learn.
